戦争情報局 （英語:United States Office of War Information、略称 OWI）とは、第二次世界大戦期の1941年7月11日にフランクリン・ルーズベルト大統領が設置したアメリカ合衆国の情報・プロパガンダ機関。戦時情報局とも呼ばれる〔山極晃、天川晃、北河賢三、中武香奈美、松信裕「ドン・ブラウンと昭和の日本」Web版有鄰、第453号、平成17年(2005年）8月10日。有隣堂。 〕。 ==沿革== 1941年7月11日、フランクリン・ルーズベルト大統領がアメリカ合衆国の情報・プロパガンダ機関として情報調査局 (Office of the Coordinator of Information、OCI) を創設する。 1942年6月13日、ルーズベルト大統領は大統領令9182号を発布し、それまでに存在した情報調査局 (OCI) 、オフィス・オブ・ファクト・アンド・フィギュア (Office of Facts and Figures) や、政府報告局 (Office of Government Reports) 等を統合合併し、アメリカ合衆国大統領行政府内の緊急事態管理局 (Office for Emergency Management ,OEM) 内に、戦争情報局 (Office of War Information、OWI) を設置した〔Franklin D.
