Valmadrera is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan and about west of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,126 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Valmadrera contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Belvedere, Ceppo, Parè, San Dionigi, and Trebbia.
