Cherasco is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about southeast of Turin and about northeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,624 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Cherasco contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Roreto, Bricco de' Faule, Veglia, Cappellazzo, San Bartolomeo, San Giovanni, and Sant'Antonino. Cherasco borders the following municipalities: Bra, Cavallermaggiore, Cervere, La Morra, Marene, Narzole, and Salmour.
