Aratz-aizkorri

Aratz-aizkorri is the second-largest natural park in the Basque Country, extending over (14,626, 16,000, or 19,400 hectares, depending on which source you use) in the Aizkorri-Aratz Mountain Range. Included in the park are the highest summits (Aitxuri, 1,551 m) in the Cantabrian-Mediterranean watershed, which together form a massif that is a centre for Basque mountaineering. Declared a natural park in 2006, the area contains limestone ridge-and-valley and siliceous intrusion biomes.
==Location==
This natural park is situated in the Basque Country, Spain. It was declared a natural park in 2006. It is located in the provinces of Guipuzcoa (80 per cent) and Alava (20 per cent). Four towns in the province of Alava are within the park – Asparrena, Zalduondo, San Millán/Donemiliaga, and Barrundia – and seven of Guipuzcoa: Leintz-Gatzaga, Eskoriatza, Aretxabaleta, Oñati, Legazpi, Zerain, and Zegama. The park includes all the lands of the "Parzonería General de Guipúzcoa y Álava".
