Zoobles!

''Zoobles!'' is a miniature figure toyline created by Spin Master. The toyline is considered a spinoff of the Bakugan toyline and was originally released in August 2010 in the United States, consisting of a wide variety of sphere shaped animal creatures that could close into a ball and, when placed on a magnetic card or their "Happitat," open up into a unique figure. The success of the franchise resulted in the worldwide release of the Spin Master toyline, including Japan, where it is licensed by the Japanese toy division of Sega and has spun one Japanese-Korean Animated series and a Nintendo DS game.
==Summary==
The Zoobles toyline is based upon principles similar to that of Bakugan. The activation mechanism is simpler, but also utilizes magnets. Each Zooble has a unique Happitat which will also function universally for all Zoobles. A Happitat contains a specialized magnet, called a 'hot spot', that acts as an activation point for a Zooble's 'transformation'. Once a Zooble comes in contact with the 'hot spot', it pops open, transforming into a unique character. The happitat also houses the Zooble when it sleeps at night.
Zoobles also have multiple points of articulation for playability, and even blink their eyes while the player "pets" its head. Each one possesses a unique set of characteristics based on their individual personality and location within Zooble Isle. To distinguish each Zooble (aside from visual differences) they have all been individually named and numbered so children are able to keep an inventory of their collection.
The entire toy line was later released in Japan by Sega Toys in March 17, 2011,〔http://jin.jcic.or.jp/en/anime/animenews/2011_1_27165538/〕 having a lot of changes in the canonical universe, while incorporating both candy and sweets themes into the characters and toys. In addition, Recipe Cards, special magnetic cards were also included in each release. These cards had the same feature as the Happitats, which were considered as activation points to the Zoobles when it came contact. However, some of the playsets that were released in Japan weren't available in the American versions.
