''Ynetnews'' was established in 2005 in Tel Aviv to provide reporting and news from Israel and the Middle East to the Israeli community and its readers.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Israeli Newspaper Brawl Moving to the Internet )
The current managing editor of ''Ynetnews'', Sara Miller, was formerly chief editor of the ''Haaretz'' website and managing editor of JPost.com, the website of the ''Jerusalem Post''. The founding editor of ''Ynetnews'', Alan Abbey, left in the summer of 2005 to serve as Internet Director for Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem.
''Ynetnews''' translators and editors provide coverage of news from Israel, Jewish World and the Middle East, based on the reporting and writing from ''Ynet'', ''Yedioth Ahronoth'', and other publications of its parent, the Yedioth Group.
