SportsBlog
SportsBlog is a user-generated sports content website. It features blogs from fans as well as current and former professional athletes from the NFL, NBA and WNBA. It is the official blogging platform of the NBA, WNBA and National Basketball Retired Players Associations. It also has a partnership with the NFL.
==History==
SportsBlog was launched in 2011 by Roy Dano, Peter Azuolas and Kevin April.〔 That year, SportsBlog developed its own open blogging platform,〔 including a revenue-sharing model for the site's most-read bloggers.〔Eric Fisher, (“SportsBlog.com secures financing, content deals,” ) ''Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal'', April 7, 2014.〕 In 2013, the site expanded its writer base to include professional athletes, who were offered complete creative freedom. For athletes who prefer not to write their own blog posts, a SportsBlog employee is available to interview them. As of October 2014, SportsBlog hosts 20,000 different blogs, averages approximately 8 million unique visitors per month, and, according to comScore, is the 21st-largest sports media site online.〔〔
