Peksater

Peksater (Pekerslo〔Angelika Lohwasser: ''Die königlichen Frauen im antiken Reich von Kusch: 25. Dynastie bis zur Zeit des Nastasen'', Wiesbaden 2001, ISBN 978-3447044073, p. 175〕) was a Nubian queen dated to the Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt.〔Aidan Dodson & Dyan Hilton: The Complete Royal Families of Ancient Egypt. Thames & Hudson, 2004, ISBN 0-500-05128-3, p.234-240〕
==Biography==
Peksater was the daughter of King Kashta and Queen Pebatjma. She appears with her husband Piye in a relief in the Amun Temple at Barkal. Piye is dressed as a high priest and officiates before the barque of Amun.〔 Laming and Macadam suggest she was an adopted daughter of Pebatjma.〔Dows Dunham and M. F. Laming Macadam, Names and Relationships of the Royal Family of Napata, The Journal of Egyptian Archaeology, Vol. 35 (Dec., 1949), pp. 139-149, (JSTOR )〕
Peksater was buried in Abydos, Egypt. Parts of a lintel, three doorjambs and a stela were found.〔R. Morkot: The Black Pharaohs, Egypt's Nubian Rulers, London 2000, 176; ISBN 0-948695-24-2〕〔Porter and Moss Topographical Bibliography; Volume V Upper Egypt Griffith Institute. p.70〕 Here she is called ''king's daughter'', ''king's wife'' and ''great king's wife''.〔
