Misterbianco (, Medieval Latin: ''Monasterium Album'', meaning ''White Monastery'' or ''White Minster'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about southeast of Palermo and about west of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 45,961 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Misterbianco contains many ''frazioni'' (subdivisions) Piano Tavola, Poggio Lupo, Lineri, Belsito, Serra.
