Kardemir Karabükspor

Kardemir Demir Çelik Karabükspor is a Turkish sports club based in Karabük, Turkey. The team was founded in 1969 after a unity between Karabük Gençlikspor and Demir Çelik Spor. The club serves in branches as football, wheelchair basketball and volleyball. Currently, the football team plays in Süper Lig. Throughout the years, Karabükspor has included such notable players as Ali Yavaş, Selami Sarı, Hakan Ünsal, Vedat İnceefe, İbrahim Üzülmez and İbrahim Kaş in its squad. The nickname of the club is Mavi Ateş (Blue Flame). Moreover, its fan base is also known as Mavi Ateş. The nickname comes from unfading blue flame coming out of one of the chimneys of Kardemir iron-steel works which is located in the entrance of the city. As the factory gives name to the club, the team is cited as a worker's team.
The club is known as one of the clubs that has completed facilities in Turkey. Modern sports facilities of the club was completed around 1993–94 season which include training-fitness grounds and cross and running tracks.
