Hermodorus Hermodorus ((ギリシア語:Ἑρμόδωρος)), who lived in the 4th century BC, is said to have circulated the works of Plato, and to have sold them in Sicily.〔Suda, ''Hermodoros''; Cicero, ''ad Atticum'', xiii. 20.〕 Hermodorus himself appears to have been a philosopher, for we know the titles of two works that were attributed to him: ''On Plato'' ((ギリシア語:Περὶ πλάτωνος)), and ''On Mathematics'' ((ギリシア語:Περὶ μαθημάτων)).〔Cf. Diogenes Laertius, Prooem. 8; ii. 106; iii. 6〕 He was the son of the great Pappus of Alexandria. ==Notes==
