It is a part of the Oddernes borough at Hånes. Bus line M2 goes threw Vigvoll continuing to Hånes, Voiebyen or Sørlandsparken, Grovikheia is the last stop on the bus to Hånes. The name Grovikheia comes from the cove Grovika.
