Founded by George Thompson in 1999, The Wizetrade Group, LLP was originally known as GlobalTec Solutions, LLP prior to Summer 2008.〔 Since its inception, the company has held an annual convention known as Wizefest. George H. W. Bush〔GlobalTec's Sixth Annual WizeFEST Trading Convention - WizeFEST2007: The Total Trading Experience, 2007-07-31〕 and Colin Powell〔Former Secretary of State General Colin L. Powell Headlines Wizetrade's 7th Annual ..., 2008-08-14〕 are two keynote speakers who have spoken at prior Wizefest events.
GlobalTec Solutions was acquired by the now-defunct Dynetech Corporation of Orlando, Florida in 2002. In the wake of an economic downturn, Dynetech sold Wizetrade to an unidentified company in August 2009, whereupon it was folded into California-based MB Trading Holdings LLC, an online investment software firm.
