WPUL AM 1590 is a radio station that serves the Daytona Beach area. Most recently, the station had an urban gospel and progressive talk format targeted toward the African American community. It is owned by the Julia T. Cherry Revocable Living Trust. ==History== The station went on air in 1957 under the call letters WDAT as a country-western station.
