The Code of Laws of the United States of America〔(Title 1 of the Code ) as published by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel〕 (variously abbreviated to Code of Laws of the United States, United States Code, U.S. Code, or U.S.C.) is the official compilation and codification of the general and permanent federal statutes of the United States. It contains 52 titles,〔(Public Law No: 113-287, To enact title 54, United States Code, "National Park Service and Related Programs", as positive law. )〕〔Title 34 ''(Navy)'' was repealed, but the numbering system was retained.
