First released in 2009, the software is now available for mobile platforms as an optimized page and as an application. ==Features== TimeTree is an active knowledgebase containing published times of divergence based on molecular sequencing data of over 1,200 individual studies.〔 〕 Users can search for the names of two individual species to delve into the database and receive a simple mean of all available estimates of divergence between the studies, sourced from the most inclusive groups for each taxonomy. Upon generation of the estimates, a geological timescale of periods and epochs is created to scale the varying estimates from the different studies and an average is shown. An additional .CSV file of all of the results is also displayed for optional downloading.
