Towards the end of 2011, Tiago Paiva conceptualized Talkdesk after working at Procter and Gamble and becoming frustrated from having to look up caller information in multiple systems each time a customer called. So, he and cofounder Cristina Fonseca entered a contest hosted by Twilio, where the prize was a laptop, and built the first version of Talkdesk using Twilio’s API in 10 days.〔DuVander, Adam.
