SQEP is an acronym, standing for Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person. It is usually used to designate:- * a professionally qualified person (such as a Chartered Engineer or Project manager) *who has several years as a practitioner, *is registered in their area of expertise within the organisation and so *whose judgement can be used to resolve a technical problem with some finality. This overall route is usually well-documented to satisfy external regulatory authorities that appropriate personnel are in place along the supply chain to undertake critical responsibilities.
