Ryksa
In early Polish history, the given name Ryksa may refer to:
* Ryksa (''Hilderyka'', ''Brunhilda''), sometimes mistakenly named as the German wife of the legendary 9th-century Polish ruler Popiel; however, the actual real name of Popiel's wife has not been specified by early historians.〔( Historya narodu polskiego ), Volumes 3-4. By Adam Naruszewicz, 1836. See: chapter "Podług rękopisma Puławskiego". As noted by Naruszewicz, the name of Popiel's wife has not been specified neither by Marcin Kromer nor by Wincenty Kadłubek.〕
* Blessed Richeza of Lotharingia or Ryksa (around 1063), Queen of Poland, wife of King Mieszko II (1025–1031).〔( The Catholic Church in Poland: Saints. ) ''Quote: "Blessed Rycheza (Ryksa) (+1063), Queen, wife of () King Mieszko II ()"''〕
* Ryksa (1018 - after 1059), possible name of wife of Béla "filia Miskæ (Polonorum duce)" as recorded in "The ''Gesta Hungarorum'', (''Europäische Stammtafeln'').〔 ''Quote: "The ''Gesta Hungarorum'' records the marriage of Béla and 'filia Miskæ (Polonorum duce)' while he was in exile in Poland but does not name her. Ryksa is shown as her possible name in ''Europäische Stammtafeln'', but the primary source on which this is based has not been identified.''〕
* Richeza of Sweden, Queen of Poland, known as Ryksa, spouse of King Przemysł II, born before 1273, deceased before 1293.〔''Note: Richeza was also called Ryksa Waldemarówna or Ryksa Szwedzka in Poland〕
