Pyrzany

Pyrzany ((ドイツ語:Pyrehne)) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Witnica, within Gorzów County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Central Statistical Office (GUS) - TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal) )〕 It lies approximately south-east of Witnica and south-west of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany, and the village's name was ''Pyrehne'' (see ''Territorial changes of Poland after World War II''). After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
