MetalWorx

MetalWorx was a radio show based in Frostburg, Maryland that ran from 1989–2001, broadcasting metal, punk and hardcore music to areas of Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia.
The show debuted on February 3, 1989 from its home at Frostburg Maryland's WFWM 91.7FM. It was created and initially manned by two Frostburg State University students who went simply by Tom & Joe. The show became a musical tradition in the region for over a decade, broadcasting over the airwaves every Friday at 10:00pm. In the mid-nineties it was offered for nationally syndication on National Public Radio. Eventually, after a 12-year run, MetalWorx had run its course and the final show was broadcast in 2001.
