'Maitighar' (Nepali: माइतिघर) (meaning ''birth home of a girl'') is a classic 1966 Nepali film directed by B.S. Thapa.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Maitighar (1966) )〕 It was the third Nepali film produced and the first under a private banner.
==Cast and crew==
Nepali origin Bollywood actress Mala Sinha played the lead role in ''Maitighar'' along with Chidambar Prasad Lohani, whom she later married. It had special appearances of Sunil Dutt and comedian Rajendra Nath. The other actors were Yadav Kharel, Tika Bhushan Dahal, Yam Bahadur Khadka, Sunita Regmi, Yadu Kumari, Pratibha Sam, Jana Darshan Sam, Gopi Krishna, K.B. Lamichhane, Keshab Rana, B.S. Thapa and Sohan. Nanda Kishore Timilsina’s role was crucial in the making of Maitighar. Dr. Yogendra Jha and General Nara Shumshere were its producers whereas B. S. Thapa was the director.
