Kompally

Kompally is one of the fastest growing suburbs of Hyderabad, India which is located in the Qutubullapur Mandal of Ranga Reddy District
The main approach to Kompally is the 250 feet, 6 Lane, NH 7 towards Nagpur and Kompally is just 10 km from Paradise, Secunderabad. There is lot of green everywhere in Kompally making it the best place for a home.
It has landmarks like Prajay Apartments, Runway - 9, Satyam Computers, A P Forest Academy at Dhulapally, Apparel Export Park, EMRI and Dhola-ri-Dhani. It comes under HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Area). The land value here is quite high. The multiplex, Cine Planet is situated here.
The outer Ring Road is connected at Kandlakoya, 3 km from Kompally. The famous Basar - Saraswathi temple is a 4½ hour drive from here.
The Educational Institution, Malla Reddy Group of Institutions is situated about 5 km from here. This group was started off by its parent college Malla Reddy Engineering College. Several other Educational are located around Kompally. SP Sampathy's Siva Sivani Educational Institution is a notable one. Several Engineering Colleges are located around the place. Notable are Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, St.Peter's Engineering College, Narsimha Reddy Engineering College, St. Martin's Engineering College, Institute of Aeronautical Research and Institute, CMR College of Engineering & HITAM.
==History==
According to locals, Kompally was named after Kohanuddin, who was the Jagirdhar of the village during the Nizam’s rule. During the course of time, Kohanuddin became popularly known as KhomPally.Before the residential boom and formation of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), it was a small village on the outskirts of Hyderabad with grape gardens, farm houses, horticulture and was flooded with poultry farms〔(Kompally: Not just dhabas and gardens )〕
