It is owned by CBS Radio and airs a classic rock music format. KZOK's transmitter is located near Issaquah, Washington on Tiger Mountain, and operates from studios in Seattle near Lake Union. The station's formats in their early years included top 40 for 9 months, then a country format they called "The Nashville Sound", talk radio (1965–1971), religious (1971–1974), progressive rock (1974–1975; 1974 was when they picked up the KZOK calls), AOR (1975–1985), and mellow rock/AAA (1985-1986); the current format debuted in December 1986.
