KRKS-FM (94.7 FM) is a radio station that broadcasts a Christian talk format. Licensed to Lafayette, Colorado, it serves the Denver-Boulder area. The station is owned and operated by the Salem Media Group. Its studios are located in Aurora, and the transmitter is located west of Boulder.
==History==
94.7 FM signed on the air in 1975 as KBVL. In 1988, Adams Communications assumed control of the station from Sterling Radio. The format would become KHIH/"Smooth Jazz 94-7". Noble Communications would purchase KHOW-AM & KHIH-FM in 1993.
Salem Communications would purchase KHIH from Noble in 1994. Salem, primarily a company that operates Christian stations, would drop the Smooth Jazz format in September 1994 for its current format.
