KKZQ (100.1 FM, "The Quake") is a commercial radio station registered to Tehachapi, California, and broadcasting from Palmdale, California to the Antelope Valley area. KKZQ leases space on KSRY's tower. ==History== KKZQ signed on in 2001 as Rhythmic Oldies "Mojo 100.1 FM". In 2002, KKZQ flipped to Soft AC as "The Breeze 100.1", formatted very similarly to the already well established KOST 103.5 FM in Los Angeles (which could be received in the Antelope Valley). In 2003, KKZQ flipped its format to Modern Rock ''The Edge 100.1''. The format stuck because there were no other Modern Rock formatted stations audible in the Antelope Valley.
