Imre

Imre is a Hungarian masculine first name, the origin of which is not clear. Some argue that it derived from the Gothic ''Amalareiks'', or from the High German ''Emmerich'' which its Latinized version is ''Emericus''. While others claim that it derived from the Turkish emir (leader).
