Hulata

Hulata () is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located in the Hula Valley, it falls under the jurisdiction of Upper Galilee Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 372.
The kibbutz was established in 1937 as a fishing village by a gar'in of HaMehnot HaOlim youth group members, and was named after the Hula Valley. After the draining of the Hula swamps, the residents moved to working in agriculture.
In 2005, Racheli Schwartz released her documentary ''Kibbutz'' tracing the stages of grieving and disillusionment that followeded Hulata's economic collapse and privatization.
