Gerald Earl Gillum (born May 24, 1989), known by his stage name, G-Eazy (or Young Gerald), is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from Oakland, California. His major-label debut album, ''These Things Happen,'' was released in 2014 and peaked at number 3 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. His second studio album, ''When It's Dark Out,'' is scheduled for release on December 4, 2015.
==Early life==
Gerald Earl Gillum was born on May 24, 1989, in Oakland, California to Ukrainian Americans parents. When he was in first grade, Gillum and his mother moved in with his grandparents in Berkeley, California. They later moved to North Oakland, though Gillum continued attending school in Berkeley.
