Edayappuram
Edayappuram is a small village in Ernakulam district, Aluva Taluk in the Indian state of Kerala and located at a distance of 3 km from Aluva town and 16 km from Perumbavoor .Edayappuram is known for educational institutions like Erumathala L.P School, K.M.C UP school and Khaja Moinuddin Madrassa etc. Edayappuram Juma Mazjid and Kolattukaavu Bhagavathi temples are well known in Aluva. Edayappuram is well connected with adjacent cities like Aluva, Perumbavoor and Kalamassery by major roads. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and some of the private buses operates regular services through this area. Edayappuram is blessed with scenic beauty. Abundance of green foliage and paddy fields create an aura of beauty. Fertile land of Edayappuram is suitable for all crops include rice, rubber, coconut etc. Proximity of Periyar River, the lifeline of Kerala makes this land fertile.

At the 2001 census, Edayappuram had a population of 28,607.〔 The majority of people living in Edayappuram are Muslim and Hindus although there is also a Christian minority population living there too.
The nearest towns are Aluva, Perumbavoor and Kalamassery.
