Cinefamily

The Cinefamily is a non-profit American cinematheque located in West Hollywood, at the historic Silent Movie Theatre.〔(Not just the silent treatment on Fairfax - Los Angeles Times )〕 The Cinefamily's mission statement is to "reinvigorate the movie-going experience by fostering a spirit of community and a sense of discovery." 〔http://www.cinefamily.org/about/〕
Cinefamily follows a member-based ticketing system by which a tax-deductible donation provides universal access to all screenings and events. There is also an individual ticket system in effect for non-members, or those who do not make a pledge commitment.〔(Membership | The Cinefamily )〕
==History==
In 2007, Hadrian Belove, founder of Cinefile Video,〔(Philip Anderson Cinefile | Obscure? Not here - Los Angeles Times )〕 a specialty video store, and with brothers Dan and Sammy Harkham, also owners of the nearby Family bookstore,〔(Come Back Into the Dark - Page 1 - Film+TV - Los Angeles - LA Weekly )〕 founded The Cinefamily. Cinefamily officially opened its doors on Halloween of 2007.
