 Cherpulassery is a town and Municipality in Palakkad district, Kerala, south India.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=Ministry of Panchayati Raj  )〕 Geographically, it is a junction of roads converging from five towns -- Ottapalam, Pattambi, Valanchery,Mannarkkad, and Perinthalmanna. A couple of kilometres north of the place, at Kacherikunnu, the semi-hilly road also branches off eastwards to the district headquarters town of Palakkad. Cherpulassery has a well known government school, the foundation for which was laid by Mahatma Gandhi.
 Prominent among today's artistes hailing from Cherpulassery are Kathakali artiste Sadanam Krishnankutty and Cherpulassery Sivan, a drummer having specialised in maddalam.
