 Canindeyú ((:kanindeˈʝu)) is a department in Paraguay. The capital is the city of Salto del Guairá.
 Canindeyú comes from the Guarani words Kaninde - macaw; ju - yellow, blue-and-yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna).
