CKBD-FM

CKBD-FM (98.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a modern rock format. Licensed to Lethbridge, Alberta, it serves southern Alberta. It first began broadcasting in 2014. The station was formerly owned by Golden West Broadcasting, but was sold to Clear Sky Radio.
CKBD-FM replaces the first Christian radio station in Lethbridge, CJTS-FM (97.1), ''“Spirit FM”''. Spirit FM was previously operated by Terry Robert Fleming. It received license approval in 2000,〔(Decision CRTC 2000-743 )〕 and moved to a frequency of 98.1 FM and CKVN callsign in 2007.〔(Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2006-98 )〕
On July 31, 2014, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission approved the sale of the station to Clear Sky Radio. The new owners took over operations on September 1, 2014.〔(Clear Sky Radio buys CKVN )〕
