The shore of the lake is covered with ichhu ''(stipa ichu)'', qiwuña ''(polylepis sp)'', shunqu shunqu ''(stangea erikae)'', kuñaq or botoncillo ''(werneria dactylophylla)'', lliqllish qura ''(werneria nubigena)'', inka waraqu ''(opuntia flocossa)'', rima rima ''(krapfia weberbaueri)'' and tawlli machu ''(lupinus weberbaueri)''.〔(mincetur.gob.pe )〕
