Montgomery is a town in Franklin County, Vermont, United States. The population, according to 2010 census United States Census Bureau is 1,201. In 1963, part of Avery's Gore in Franklin County became part of Montgomery, with the other section becoming part of Belvidere. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 56.8 square miles (147.0 km2), all land.
