Metteniusaceae : ウィキペディア英語版
Metteniusa

''Metteniusa'' is a genus of flowering plants in the monogeneric family Metteniusaceae. It was named by Hermann Karsten in 1860 for the German botanist Georg Heinrich Mettenius.〔Umberto Quattrocchi. 2000. ''CRC World Dictionary of Plant Names'' volume III, page 1672. CRC Press: Boca Raton; New York; Washington,DC;, USA. London, UK.〕 It has seven species.〔Gustavo Lozano-Contreras and Nubia B. de Lozano. 1994. "Una Nueva Especie de ''Metteniusa'' Karsten (Metteniusaceae) de Colombia". ''Novon'' 4(3):266-270.〕 The type species is ''Metteniusa edulis''.〔Gustavo Lozano-Contreras and Nubia B. de Lozano. 1988. "Metteniusaceae" Monograph 11 In: Polidoro Pinto and Gustavo Lozano-Contreras (editors). ''Flora de Colombia''. Instituto de Ciencias Naturales, Universidad Nacional de Colombia.〕 In a molecular phylogenetic analysis in 2007, the authors found that ''Metteniusa'' forms one of the most basal clades of the lamiids, but is not closely related to any of the lamiid families and does not fall into any of the recognized lamiid orders. They recommended that the family Metteniusaceae be recognized.〔Favio González, Julio Betancur, Olivier Maurin, John V. Freudenstein, and Mark W. Chase. 2007. "Metteniusaceae, an early-diverging family in the lamiid clade". ''Taxon'' 56(3):795-800.〕 Several taxonomists have done so since the name "Metteniusaceae" was proposed by Adalbert Schnizlein and validated by Hermann Karsten in 1860.〔James L. Reveal. 2008 onward. "A Checklist of Family and Suprafamilial Names for Extant Vascular Plants." At: Home page of James L. Reveal and C. Rose Broome. (see ''External links'' below).〕
