Ma'din Islamic Academy, or Ma'dinu Ssaquafathil Islamiyya, is a charity institution based in Malappuram, Kerala, India. It operates various facilities such as an orphanage, schools, colleges, and a technical centre. As a Sunni educational institute, it is recognised by the Kerala government. == Swalath majlis == Ma'din organises an annual prayer meeting which is thought to be largest in Ramadan outside Mecca and Medina The central attraction and the focal point of all activities where Ma'din takes its inspiration from is the Swalath congregation held on the last Thursday of every month under leadership of syed ibrahim khaleelul bhukari Thousands of believers pour into the Swalath Nagar during the prayer meetings. Every thing is put in place of the group feast of Ramadan in the evening. The sparkling campus gets lighted up as arrangements are made for taking Namaz and mass prayer. As a culmination of the monthly Swalath meetings the annual prayer meeting which is believed to be one of the largest congregations of believers in the Muslim world takes place on the Ma'din campus. The annual meet takes place on the 27th night of the month of Ramadan every year. Ma'din gets ready every year for this great convocation of believers. This annual conclave has attracted attention from believers across the country and from abroad as well The discipline with which people arrange themselves for prayers at the Swalath Nagar is another amazing aspect of the event. It is a different kind of spiritual experience for any believer.Freeing themselves from all worries, thousands raise their hands in union begging the Almighty for spiritual salvation. The venue of Swalath is unique in many respects. It is a place where tens of thousands of hearts unite with the sole aim of spiritual salvation. It is a place where they forget their differences and purify their heart. Together they raise their hands to Allah, the omnipotent, the compassionate seeking his divine intervention and blessings. They chant in unison the eulogies of the saintly song of Muhammad. The young and old assemble at the Swalath Nagar seeking eternal lessons. They forget themselves in devotion and submit themselves completely before the Almighty expecting the rare blessing of Lailathul Khadar. It is the night they have been waiting for the whole year. It is the night they have been promised the blessings of a thousand nights. They keep awake the all night in prayer in expectation of the divine power to salvage their souls. In the spiritually charged atmosphere they refresh their souls once again and return home in peace.
