Louisiana State Route 3 (LA 3) was one of the 98 original state highways that were established in 1924. It was split into two separate segments, with the southern section running in a south to north direction for , spanning from Baton Rouge to the Mississippi state line. The northern section ran for from Vidalia to the Arkansas state line, in a south to north direction. ==Route description==
