Syn. -- To satisfy; sate; suffice; cloy; gorge; overfill; surfeit; glut. -- Satiate, Satisfy, Content. These words differ principally in degree. To satiate is to fill so completely that it is not possible to receive or enjoy more; hence, to overfill; to cause disgust in.
